The Department of Physics & Astronomy (http://dornsife.usc.edu/physics/) at the University of Southern California (USC) in Los Angeles, California invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor faculty position in (a) experimental condensed matter physics, or (b) experimental atomic, molecular, or optical physics. The successful candidate will build an active research program in quantum information science, with quantum computing, quantum error correction, quantum sensing, and related areas as our priority. Candidates should have a doctoral degree in experimental physics or a related field and have demonstrated their ability to conduct innovative and independent research. The anticipated start date is Fall of 2024.

The annual base salary range for this position is $109,250–$115,300.
