The Department of American Studies & Ethnicity, Dana and David Dornsife College of Letters, Arts and Sciences, University of Southern California, in Los Angeles, California, is seeking to hire a full-time instructor or lecturer able to teach American Studies, African American Studies, Asian American Studies, Native American Studies and/or Latina/o Studies courses and/or discussion sections during the 2024-2025 Academic Year.
The department is interested in scholars from humanities or the social sciences whose work demonstrates an engagement with the fields of American and Ethnic Studies. The scholar must have a Ph.D. in a relevant field of study by the start of this appointment and should be able to demonstrate teaching excellence in the subject area. Expertise in the area of American popular culture is especially relevant to departmental needs.

The annual base salary range for this position is $76,000 – $84,500.
