Graduate Admission Assistant

USC’s Office of Graduate Admission is seeking a full-time assistant to join its team from February 19 – May 31, 2024. The Graduate Admission Assistant will correspond via email with prospective graduate applicants and university departments.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

1. notify students, utilizing established templates, of their application status, advises them of university policies and procedures, receives and processes missing documentation, corrects and updates personal information in files, reviews and approves applicant fee waiver requests, refers applicants to other offices/departments as appropriate;

2. respond to inquiries and resolve issues related to the University’s Central Application system

3. assist with general application processing as needed.

Training will be provided for the role.

Minimum Education:

· Bachelor’s Degree

· Combined experience/education as substitute for minimum education

Minimum Experience:

· 1 Year

· Combined education/experience as substitute for minimum experience

Minimum Areas of Expertise:

· Detailed-oriented and can work efficiently under pressure

· Comfortable dealing with individuals from diverse backgrounds

· Strong oral and written communication skills.

The hourly rate for this position is $23.00.
