We are seeking a Membership Coordinator to join our rapidly growing team.

The Opportunity:

The University Club, a private members fine dining club in the heart of USC’s campus, seeks a membership coordinator. This role will oversee all aspects of processing membership applications and cancellations and be responsible for overseeing membership communication and outreach. This position will interface with members daily, addressing their questions and needs while creating and maintaining the strong relationships the University Club is known for. The role will require strong interpersonal skills, excellent customer service and communication skills, and a warm, welcoming personality. Because this role will also engage with operational needs at the Club, we are seeking candidates who are team players, eager to learn, and willing to jump in when the opportunity presents itself. 

The Accountabilities:

  • Processing of membership applications, renewals, cancellations and payments.

  • Review member application- qualification/ by laws, FF6moths, cancellations, renewals, re-activation: Verified in Workday.

  • Corresponding with members: emails, phone communication as it pertains to membership.

  • Processing reservations, Website updates, Newsletter creation.

  • Oversees member contact list in program of our choice. Updating existing membership data on all channels (Mailchimp, OpenTable). Create, oversee and maintain membership listing including guest data of emails, phone numbers and dues payment dates.

  • All clerical/administrative tasks (menu tags, nametags, check in at member events), mail correspondence receive/ distributes.

  • Assist with social media creation and updating ( daily specials every day etc).

  • Payment processing.

  • Assist in establishing software systems to streamline membership processing.

  • Assist in the creation of marketing materials (menu inserts etc).

  • Craft reciprocal letter with other clubs.

  • Assist Sr AD of sales & membership programs with all member programs.

  • Plans, schedules, coordinates and oversees activities of dining room staff on a daily basis and for assigned events.

  • Provides guidance and direction to service personnel. Schedules and assigns workload. Trains food service employees. Demonstrates techniques, equipment or procedures to service personnel.

  • Oversees the set-up and break down of venue.

  • Ensures assigned unit meets and/or exceeds all federal and state health and safety regulations. Conveys established policies and procedures.

  • Responds to and tracks customer requests, complaints and feedback.

  • Prepares regular and/or special reports for use in analyses and projections.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned or requested. The university reserves the right to add or change duties at any time.

The Qualifiers:

  • Education: High School Diploma.

  • Experience: 3 years.

  • Field of Expertise: Demonstrated knowledge of catering and food service. Ability to supervise, train, and develop employees.

FIGHT ON!

The hourly rate for this position is $21.89 – $24.35. When extending an offer of employment, the University of Southern California considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, federal, state, and local laws, contractual stipulations, grant funding, as well as external market and organizational considerations.

Minimum Education: High School Diploma.
Minimum Experience: 3 years.
