Project Specialist-Administrative – (Los Angeles, California, United States)

Keck Advancement seeks an experienced, full-time professional to join its team and support the Corporate and Foundation Relations (CFR) team. The Project Specialist will be responsible for supporting the Senior Executive Director of Development as well as providing back-up support to the CFR team.  The Project Specialist will assist in the implementation of processes, systems and structures that support the strong CFR fundraising program focused at Keck Medicine.

Job Accountabilities:

  • Assists in the administration and coordination of a variety of administrative projects, including developing and implementing project goals and strategies.

  • Provides key support to senior CFR executives with administrative functions such as planning, organizing, coordinating, scheduling and implementing project activities to meet objectives.

  • Manages day-to-day communications of CFR team members and other advancement staff.

  • Prepares reports, correspondence, other materials and analysis according to project schedules or on an as-needed basis.

  • Works with key staff in managing calendar appointments and schedules.

  • Assists in fundraising, public relations and other activities upon request, including representing department at assigned functions.

  • Manages special projects. Assists in formation of ad hoc committees and monitors progress toward completion of assigned tasks. Ensures reports and recommendations are prepared and submitted in a timely manner and follows-up with implementation, as appropriate.

The successful candidate will be a self-starter with outstanding computer, communication and people skills. Strong writing skills, excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and an ability to work independently and as a member of a team to achieve goals is essential. Candidate must be proficient in MS Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.  A flexible work style and sense of humor are also desired qualities.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or combined experience/education as substitute.

  • 2 years of experience directly related to project or administrative experience.

The base hourly range for this position is $29.17 – $36.00.
