Research Project Interviewer – (Los Angeles, California, United States)

The incumbent will assist with the screening, recruitment and data collection for research projects awarded to the Principal Investigator. Specifically, s/he will assist in data collection involving face-to-face and phone-based interactions with research participants for all active research projects.

This position requires:

1) recruitment of research participants;

2) screening, and coordinating/scheduling participant visits and procedures;

3) organizing participant accommodations, when needed;

4) maintaining study databases of screening/recruitment/procedure tracking;

5) providing administrative support to the research study and Principal Investigator.

Other duties will include preparing, maintaining, and reviewing CRFs, data entry, and submitting participant enrollment documentation to the USC Clinical Research Organization.

Overall, the successful candidate will have fluent Spanish and English writing and speaking skills, as well as the ability to work well with different groups, including research faculty and staff.  The ideal candidate will have strong organizational capabilities, problem-solving skills, and a demonstrated ability to work independently while managing multiple projects. Flexible working hours including early morning start times. Prior experience in a research environment is preferred. PC proficiency required, including Microsoft Office.

The hourly rate range for this position is $22.34 – $25.00. Minimum Education: High school or equivalent
Minimum Experience: 0 – 6 months
Minimum Field of Expertise: Knowledge of data collection procedures and some experience with data analysis. Excellent interpersonal skills needed for interaction with participants.
