Unit Secretary/Monitor Tech – 6th Floor Med/Surg Telemetry – Full Time 12 Hour Days (Fixed-Term) – (Glendale, California, United States)

Under the general supervision of the Charge Nurse, performs the clerical activities for the Medical/Surgical Department.

Minimum Education:
High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience

Minimum Experience/Knowledge:
Minimum of one (1) year current experience as a Unit Secretary and Monitor Tech in an acute care preferred

Ability to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing.
Knowledge of medical terminology.
Data entry computer skills

Required License/Certification:
Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) card from the American Heart Association.
ED/Geropsych: AB 508 Certification. If no card upon hire, one must be obtained within 30 days of hire or transfer into the department, and maintained by renewal before expiration date

The hourly rate range for this position is $17.00 – $28.00.
