Open Rank Faculty Position in Computational Linguistics – (Los Angeles, California, United States)

The Department of Linguistics in the Dana and David Dornsife College of Letters, Arts, and Sciences at the University of Southern California (Los Angeles, CA) invites applications for an open-rank tenured or tenure-track faculty position in Computational Approaches to Linguistics with an anticipated start date of Fall 2025. All candidates at the level of Assistant, Associate or full Professor will be considered. The department welcomes applicants whose research integrates computation with one or more areas well-represented in our department: syntax, phonology, semantics, psycholinguistics, pragmatics, phonetics, and sociolinguistics. 

Duties include maintaining an active program of research, strong commitment to teaching and supervision at the graduate and undergraduate level, including in our broad program in Computational Linguistics, and participating in the academic life of the department. A doctoral degree is required by the time of appointment.

The annual base salary range for this position is $99,750 – $236,170.
