Research Associate – (Los Angeles, California, United States)

Job Summary:

The Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry of USC is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Research Associate to join our dynamic Infections and Immunity team. The successful candidate will plan, design, and conduct highly technical and complex research projects independently and in consultation with the supervisor. This role involves analyzing research data, providing interpretations, and contributing to the development of research documentation for publication.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, design, and conduct highly technical and complex research projects independently and in consultation with the supervisor.
  • Identify, research, compile, and evaluate data sources, background information, and/or technology related to the area of specialization.
  • Analyze and evaluate research data utilizing computers and provide interpretations requiring significant knowledge of a specialized area of research.
  • Search literature using all available resources, including electronic, to identify new methodologies and design experiments accordingly.
  • Contribute to the development of research documentation for publication and/or prepare technical reports, papers, and/or records.
  • Operate and maintain sophisticated laboratory/scientific equipment.

Job Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • Required: Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in a related field.
  • Work Experience:
    • Required: At least 1 year of directly related education and experience in research specialization with advanced knowledge of equipment, procedures, and analysis methods.
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
    • Advanced knowledge of equipment, procedures, and analysis methods related to research specialization.

The annual base salary range for this position is $98,186.70 to $ 70,000 .
