The Research Lab Tech I (part time) reports to Dr. Lucio Comai and works as part of a research team. This person will provide laboratory assistance to support studies on the mechanistic basis of nucleotide expansion diseases and participate in an innovative small molecule therapy developed in the lab. Clinical Research Associate – (San Diego, California, United States)

The USC Keck School of Medicine – Alzheimer Therapeutic Research Institute (ATRI), located in San Diego, California is an academic institute comprised of an expert panel of scientific collaborators committed to advancing the development of new treatments for Alzheimer’s Disease (AD) through innovative clinical trials.Incumbent will provide oversight to the progress of clinical trials at study sites, and ensure that they are conducted, recorded, and reported in accordance with the protocol, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Good Clinical Practice (GCP), and the applicable regulatory requirement(s).  Duties will include but are not limited to:Conduct onsite and remote monitoring for assigned clinical sites and co-monitor visits. As an integral part of the Imaging Services Team, the PET/CT Technologist provides support for the radiologists in the performance of high quality radionuclide imaging, Computerize Tomography, and lab procedures to assure optimum service and care to every person passing through the Imaging Department. The Support Coordinator will assist with all aspects of patient care. Coordinate clinic schedules, patient appointments and follow up. Answers patient phone calls, verify insurance benefits, prepare charts for clinic and prepare charge tickets for clinic visits. He/She will also coordinate scheduling of all surgeries and diagnostic testing for patients which include sending pre-op packets to patients with surgery instructions, prepare surgery charge tickets and compile letters of medical necessity. The Support Coordinator will assist with the office clerical duties. Other duties may include: assisting multidisciplinary team in managing the care of the patient’s thru all phases (In-take/Evaluation/Listed) by acting as a liaison between the clinic and referring physicians; assisting in managing follow-up care for post surgical patients by setting up follow up care appointments; and/or coordinating an organized and efficient case flow of clinic scheduling. The Support Coordinator will assist with all aspects of patient care. Coordinate clinic schedules, patient appointments and follow up. Answers patient phone calls, verify insurance benefits, prepare charts for clinic and prepare charge tickets for clinic visits. He/She will also coordinate scheduling of all surgeries and diagnostic testing for patients which include sending pre-op packets to patients with surgery instructions, prepare surgery charge tickets and compile letters of medical necessity.
