Manager, Employee and Labor Relations (UHR) – (Los Angeles, California, United States)

The Employee and Labor Relations Manager is instrumental in maintaining represented employee engagement and collective bargaining agreements compliance for Auxiliary Services employees. This role will manage labor relations and grievance processes to ensure that the university adheres to legal, compliance, collective bargaining agreements and leading practice standards. The Employee and Labor Relations Manager provides oversight and expertise in the provision of labor relations services to Auxiliary Services represented employees and plays a role in programs aimed at increasing represented employee engagement and workplace performance, including union relationships, contract administration, contract negotiation strategies, strike preparedness, and union campaign strategy and management. The role will support the unit in designing labor strategies, contract negotiations, grievances, discipline hearings, arbitrations, and other matters regarding labor relations, working closely with the Office of General Counsel, external legal counsel, or other stakeholders, as needed. The Employee and Labor Relations Manager will recommend labor strategies and negotiate initial and renewal labor agreements in accordance with university priorities. Sterile Processing Technician I – Sterile Processing – Full Time 8 Hour Evenings (Non-Exempt) (Union) – (Los Angeles, California, United States)

Under general supervision of the Sterile Processing Supervisor or Sterile Processing Educator, the Sterile Processing Technician (SPT) serve with basic knowledge of Sterile Processing techniques/skills and is responsible for decontaminating, operationally checking, assembling, sterilizing, and distributing reusable surgical/clinical instrumentation and implants throughout the organization. Operate Steam (autoclave) and H2O2 (hydrogen peroxide) sterilizers, sonic equipment, automated washers and heat sealers. Store, date, rotate and distribute reusable surgical/clinical instrumentation. All in accordance with department and manufacturer IFU guidelines. Upon completing one year of experience, incumbent will be elevated to Sterile Processing Tech IIEssential Duties:Assemble and package surgical/clinic procedure instrument sets following protocols established by electronic count sheets and manufacturer IFU. Pathologist Assistant – Pathology – Full Time 8 Hour Day Shift (Non Union) – (Glendale, California, United States)

Prepares surgical specimens for gross description and dissection. Knows how to navigate the LIS system to Accession surgical specimen. Picks up specimen from surgery upon request from the surgeon and specimen placed in the ‘Pathology Room’ to prepare for grossing. Knowledgeable on dealing with specimen that required special handling or requests. Obtains the patient medical chart and other pertinent clinical information to identify special techniques and procedures that will be necessary. Ensures gross descriptions are carefully reviewed for any grammatical errors, punctuation and coded correctly before reports are handed over to the pathologist. Certified Phlebotomist II – Laboratory – Per Diem 8 Hour Day Shift (Union) – (Glendale, California, United States)

The Certified Phlebotomist II is the Department’s primary support system and is responsible for procuring blood samples from patients, for preserving the integrity of specimens and for proper transporting, processing and preparation of all samples. The Certified Phlebotomist II is the Department’s primary support system and is responsible for procuring blood samples from patients, for preserving the integrity of specimens and for proper transporting, processing and preparation of all samples.
