Staffing Coordinator – Nursing Admin – Full Time 12 Hour Nights (Non-Exempt) (Non-Union) – (Los Angeles, California, United States)

The Staffing Coordinator will provide support to the Nursing Supervisors, Managers, and Directors during the process of ensuring adequate and appropriate nursing staff for each shift. Will assist in the collection and filing of documentation related to agency staff. He/She will assist with compliance related to various regulatory agency reporting requirements.The Staffing Coordinator (SC) closely collaborates with the Clinical Administrative Supervisors to plan and adjust staffing as needed to ensure patient assignments are within California staffing guidelines. The SC serves as a facilitator in staffing/ patient flow planning huddles. The SC will communicate with the Nurse Leads the staffing adjustments that need to be made to optimize unit capacity. Staffing Coordinators adjust Kronos on a daily basis to reflect accuracy in unit assignments, sick calls, etc. The Staffing Coordinators manage daily registry requests and process any required paperwork. The staffing coordinator may have responsibility for staffing at multiple facilities. The staffing coordinator may also be assigned to complete facility wide scheduling and timekeeping.Essential Duties:Administrative Responsibilities 30% Ensure records are up to date and maintained according to regulatory guidelines. The Nurse Practitioner (NP) has a specialized skill and knowledge related to the setting in which they practice and perform physical exams, collects and documents data, conducts approved diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, orders and schedules laboratory studies and professional consultations, prescribes appropriate interventions and medications, and provides direct patient care services, according to established evidence-based clinical practice standards.
